Charles Leo Bauer, Sr. 1924-2007

Charles Leo Bauer, Sr. 1924-2007
Loretta's father passed away on Christmas Eve. We are honored, humbled, and blest to have been a participant in his life and experience. Note Joseph his eldest son is not pictured as he preceded him into resurrection and met him as he entered into LIFE

The Communion of Saints

The Communion of Saints grew by one last night when my father-in-law and Loretta's FATHER Charlie Bauer slipped from this world into the hand of God. Charlie was a wonderful man who always sought the will of God for himself and his family. He sought to play God's stewardship in his children and fullfilled that role valiantly. He was a role model for how to live our lives as a man of God.

He will be greatly missed by all of his kids and extended family and especially by his loving wife Kitty. Loretta and I spoke with him in prayer last night and envisioned him being greeted by my mom and dad, and sister and Loretta's birth mom Louise and his loving son Joseph.

Since time is endless and real I saw Charlie being greeted by the Baby Jesus and his crucified Lord and saw him reconcile that reality. Go in peace; loving man and rest in the hands and heart of a truly loving God.

Family is Awesome!

Well I dont intend to have this Blog go down in flames so I am back again. I am smiling because I am officially on vacation. Its been great looking forward to the holidays and Christmas. I wish all of you our deepest blessings from the heart. Hold tightly to each other and know that God loves you and your familes.

Ret and I are very excited that our new hobby seems to be going well. We have completed our second quilt and will try and upload them here shortly. We have really gotten into the idea of creating something from our lifes and hands and quilting allows you to put yourself into a gift in many ways that commercial gifts simply dont. Look for some pics over the next couple of days.

A Christmas Carol

Loretta and I went to St. Pete Little Theartre and saw DC and DEA in A Christmas Carol. It was a fun eveningand they both did great. It had been a long time since I had seen Ebenezer Scrooge and it did stop and make you think about how your life appears when your given an opportunity to examine from a distance. We both said that so far our Christmas past, present, and we hope our futures could be looked as grace filled events that brought joy and laughter to our whole family. As Tiny Tim says: GOD BLESS US EVERYONE.

The Ultimate Gift

Well the worlds best movie critic, Peter Bauer brought our family alot of joy when recommended the Film "The Ultimate Gift"This is a Positive, faith based movie that shows Christ as an essential part of our lives and as being there to take us in HIS arms when we need to carried and loved. It touched me on multiple levels because it dealt with life and death and belief. I was touched particularly when one of the leads a small girl died. I have always pictured God and Jesus as a loving protective father who holds and caresses us with love. As I thought of my Father-in-law I couldn't help but picture Charlie being cradled into the love of God and knew in my heart that as he struggles here that God stands both beside and inside him as he prepares to welcome him home. Go in Peace Charlie confident that He has loved us always and best. As Charles Bauer Sr. prepares to share his ultimate gift with us and we are humbled in his giving of it.

Peer pressure got to me!

Well here we are the Johnston home for wayward family. We have tried for years now to live our lives as we think God would want us to; to reach out to anyone, seemingly for us ; mostly family who need a hand or some help. I will try to be faithful in relating a little snapshot of our lives and we will see how it works out.
